I've made quite a few new years resolutions in real life that I will complete, but I'm also going to make some for the interweb life. I want to re-do most of the drawings I did way back when and keep everything up to date, and I also want to clean up my gallery.

Being sick with Saints Row IV

Hey all,
So, I've been feeling under the weather for a bit because I got a cold. While that was happening though, I got the chance to get Saints Row IV and play it from start to finish, and let me tell you... it's surprisingly good.
I'm not gonna spoil it in case someone reads this without having played the game, but I think it's pretty good despite all the goofy stuff they said they were gonna put in. To be honest, Saints Row 3 is way more goofy than this game.
I got a bit sad when I played the game though, just because of what happens in it. What I like is that you get an idea of how the boss feels about his friends, since they say a few words here and there about them. We also get to go deeper with these characters like Shaundi, Ben, and even Pierce.
What my hopes are for future games, which I don't know if they'll be doing, [I heard about a possible reboot, but then again, those are just rumors] is that they bring some closure to characters that we met in the past.
For example, Dex, Killbane, and even Julius.
If you play the DLC missions for SR2 you find out Dex works for Ultor and when the boss tries to go after him he flees. You don't hear about him at all, and the only thing we do hear about is some small extra game where you play as an assassin chick who kills him. That's not very creative nor does it do me justice with Dex.
The second is Killbane, and although there is mention in SR4 that he's been taken care of, I would actually like to see it happen as oppose to just hearing about it. I know in SR3 you get the option of killing him, but that's not canon, and the mission where you fight him in space is just for a movie. And it's a double, just like they did for Gat.
And then there's Julius. Again, in the DLC for SR2, you get a mission where you're tricked by Dex and meet with Julius. Some things happen, and you fight some soldiers, and by the end of it you get to kill Julius. Now, with him, I feel a bit good about it, because at least it's somewhat meaningful when Julius and the boss talk. Still, I would have liked to have a plot dealing with Julius as he tries to take down the boss again or something.
And this is just for me, but I would have really loved it if Troy quit the police and joined with his friends in the Saints. But I know he wouldn't, and honestly, his position in the police does a lot for the Saints, like bailing them out of jail, or covering their tracks. I don't know, I just really loved him in SR1.
And CARLOS. I was so incredibly sad when I played that mission, and he was so new and trying really hard to be a gang banger that I was just so sad. If they make a reboot I really hope they keep him in, since I know most of the crew who made the game really regretted killing him.
Well, that about covers my rant. I'm still a bit sick, but at least I got SR4 out of my system to focus on other stuff.

Been a little busy

Hey guys!
I haven't uploaded anything in a few days cause I was a bit busy. On Friday, I had my last Big Band Jazz practice before the break, and then on Saturday and Sunday we had gigs at a retirement home for the old-folks living there and at a club for a private party. They all really loved us.
My jazzmates told me I sounded awesome during my solo for the song Cantaloupe Island, so I got a really big boost of confidence since I always thought I sounded the worst with that solo lol. After our gig on Sunday we all ate at a restaurant and just chilled and had fun. I was told I was the band's star trumpet player! If I can get the audio for the songs, I'll upload them and give out a link for you guys to hear. I feel proud!
Today I just hung around with some friends and watched movies and ate pizza/wings and garlic bread and tomorrow I'll be hanging around with my other friend downtown.
I'm still working on stories, drawings and such, so don't worry! I hope you guys are having a fun day!

Le Ugh

Can someone just kick my behind and get me motivated to do stuff? D:
Th only thing I can seem to get motivated Which isn't by a lot 'cause sometimes I skip out on it for is practicing my trumpet. I would really like to get back into drawing and writing, but I get so... I dunno, le bored.
I am writing bit by bit everyday, and sometimes I do get in the mood, but I end up having to do something for someone and I lose all motivation after. D:
Aside from preparing for school this September, and looking for gigs for my Jazz band, I don't do a lot. Maybe have a life, but who has time for that?
I am very sorry my chickpeas for being so unmotivated, but I am trying really, really le hard! I need a muse or something...
Well, on a different note-I went to Anime North yesterday--My first time ever! It was so exciting and I had a lot of fun watching people in their super amazing costumes. I really need to make one for next year since I will be going every year hur durr.
